Fantasy Top is a game that combines fantasy sports with digital trading cards. Unlike traditional fantasy sports, where players pick real-life athletes, in FT, users buy and sell digital trading cards representing popular accounts.
How does it work?
To enter Fantasy Top, you need an invite code. You can use my Fantasy Top Invite Code: kaitodelima.
You need to buy five cards to form a team, and your team competes in a tournament based on their engagement metrics. Your team’s ranking will determine your placement.
How to buy cards?
To buy cards, visit the marketplace and sort by rank. The ranks update live, and prices fluctuate accordingly. It is essential not to buy packs unless you need to feel something.
The cards you should buy depend on your budget and strategy. Here are some personas you can reference:
- The Pleb: Pick five cards from the floor, enter every tournament, farm basic rewards, and hit the Blast Gold Jackpot. Budget: 0.05 ETH, low risk.
- The Smart: Pick five cards in the 0.1 ETH range, buy common cards because they’re more liquid, enter every tournament, farm good rewards, and hit the Gold Jackpot. Budget: 0.5 ETH, low risk.
- The Yolo: Pick five cards in the 0.1 ETH range, buy rare cards to rank higher, enter every tournament, farm better rewards, and hit the Gold Jackpot. Budget: 0.5 ETH, medium risk.
- The Whale: Pick five legendary or epic cards, enter every tournament, flex on us, farm super rewards and social awareness. Budget: whatever.
How to evaluate cards besides their ranking?
Evaluating cards besides their ranking is tricky because it depends on the metrics that Fantasy Top uses, which are likely to evolve. Here are a few types of hero cards:
- The Top Heroes: Expensive but worth it. Generate millions of impressions. Safe bets because they are not performance-dependent. Always sort by rank when shopping to uncover good deals.
- The Floor: Some cards will never make it and aren’t even aware they are part of the game. Others are mysteriously included. A few might deliver surprise hits and become top cards overnight. Evaluate their tweet frequency and engagement to spot potential gems!
- The Grinders: Typically smaller followings but committed to the cause. Fantasy metrics currently favor active smaller accounts over larger inactive ones from 2021. You’re betting on their consistent effort, a change in Fantasy’s algorithm, or a viral post. They are often too rich or busy to grind on Twitter. Highly influential when they launch something. Your bet is on them becoming active in anticipation of an event related to their company.
In conclusion, decide your risk level and budget, research heroes by checking their Twitter pages, and don’t forget to join every tournament. The next two weeks are expected to be super bullish and rewarding. I started with a low-medium risk strategy in Fantasy, but I’m shifting to max risk.
